Ok, In this post I will give you a little explanation about Narrative Text.
I am sure you must be often to tell the story that you just hear, watch or even your own imaginative story to someone, good friends, relatives, parents, etc. Well, actually what we do when telling the story we experienced is an applicative example of the Narrative Text.
Ok, I will tell the definition of Narrative text. It is “An imaginative story to entertain the reader” For example, Cinderella, Snow White, Monkey and Crocodiles, Malin Kundang, The Legend of Tangkuban Prahu Montain, etc.
Then, Kinds of Narrative Text are Fable, Fairly Tales, Folktales, Legend, Mith. That’s a brief description of Narrative text from me.
But, In this time I will not give you a complete explanation about Narrative Text, Here I just want to share an example of Narrative text, because if we read many example of it, we will have a better understanding about it. We will also have some collection of story that we can tell to our students, friends, family, or our children.

Faster is Better Story
Once, a cat and a fox were traveling together. As they went along, picking up provisions on the way – a stray mouse here, a fat chicken there – they began an argument.
“you think you are extremely clever, don’t you? “ said the Fox. “Do you pretend to know more than me? Why, I know a whole sack full of tricks!”
“Well,” retorted the cat, “I admit I know one trick only, but that one, let me tell you, is worth a thousand of yours!”
Just then, close by, they heard a hunter’s horn and the yelping of a pack of hounds. In an instant, the Cat was up a tree, hiding among the leaves.
“This is my trick,” he called to the fox. “Now let me see what yours are worth.”
But the fox had so many plans for escape that he could not decide which one to try first. He dodged here and there with hounds at his heels. He doubled on his tracks, he ran at top speed, he entered a dozen burrows, but all in vain. The hounds caught him, and soon put an end to the boaster and all his trick.

Cerita Lebih Cepat Lebih Baik
Suatu hari, seekor kucing dan seekor rubah bepergian bersama. Saat mereka berjalan, sambil mengambil perbekalan di jalan – seekor tikus liar di sini, seekor ayam gemuk di sana – mereka mulai bertengkar.
“Kau pikir kau sangat pintar, ya?” kata si Rubah. “Kau pura-pura tahu lebih banyak daripada aku? Wah, aku tahu sekantong penuh trik!”
“Baiklah,” balas si kucing, “aku akui aku hanya tahu satu trik, tetapi yang itu, percayalah, lebih berharga daripada seribu trikmu!”
Tepat saat itu, di dekat mereka, mereka mendengar suara klakson pemburu dan lolongan sekawanan anjing pemburu. Dalam sekejap, si Kucing sudah naik ke atas pohon, bersembunyi di antara dedaunan.
“Ini trikku,” serunya kepada si rubah. “Sekarang, biarkan aku melihat berapa nilai trikmu.”
Tetapi si rubah punya begitu banyak rencana untuk melarikan diri sehingga dia tidak dapat memutuskan mana yang akan dicoba terlebih dahulu. Dia menghindar ke sana kemari dengan anjing pemburu di belakangnya. Ia berbalik arah, berlari dengan kecepatan tinggi, memasuki belasan liang, tetapi semuanya sia-sia. Anjing-anjing pemburu menangkapnya, dan segera mengakhiri si pembual dan semua tipuannya.
