Ok, In this post I will give you a little explanation about Narrative Text.
I am sure you must be often to tell the story that you just hear, watch or even your own imaginative story to someone, good friends, relatives, parents, etc. Well, actually what we do when telling the story we experienced is an applicative example of the Narrative Text.
Ok, I will tell the definition of Narrative text. It is “An imaginative story to entertain the reader” For example, Cinderella, Snow White, Monkey and Crocodiles, Malin Kundang, The Legend of Tangkuban Prahu Montain, etc.
Then, Kinds of Narrative Text are Fable, Fairly Tales, Folktales, Legend, Mith. That’s a brief description of Narrative text from me.
But, In this time I will not give you a complete explanation about Narrative Text, Here I just want to share an example of Narrative text, because if we read many example of it, we will have a better understanding about it. We will also have some collection of story that we can tell to our students, friends, family, or our children.

Why some people are black and others white and brown story

When the world was young, no one lived on earth. Every day, Magbabaya, the God of life, looked down on the earth from his home in the sky.
“Oh, how lovely the earth looks! It’s so big but yet so empty!”
One day, he had a bright idea.
“I must make some people to live on earth.”
He jumped down from his home in the sky. He dug up, some earth and mixed it with water. He then made some human beings out of it. He laid them on the ground to dry in the sun.
Soon he returned to the sky, he hunted the whole day in the sky forest, afterwards, he went home with the animals he had caught. Suddenly, he remembered the people he had left to dry in the sun. he returned to earth as fast as he could. But they had already been burnt as black as coal by the hot sun.
He shook his head. “I must try again,” he said. “Next time, I’ll be careful not to leave them so long under the sun.”
Again, he made some human beings out of clay. He laid them out carefully to dry under the sun. but he was so worried this time that he did not leave them long enough. They were not baked properly. When he looked at them, he saw that they were too pale.
He said. “Tomorrow when the sun shine, I shall make some more people. This time, I shall make sure they are baked longer.”
Once more, he took some clay and made some human beings out of it. He laid them carefully in the sun. when he thought that the sun was getting too hot, he covered them with leaves, and put them in the shede.
Then he let a gentle breeze blow over them. Every now and again, he turned each of them over so that they would have the same light brown colour all over.
When he had finished, he looked proudly at his work. They were a golden brown colour and very good to look at. “They are perfect!” he cried happily.
Then he collected all the human beings he had made and placed them in different parts of the world.
And this is why we have black, white and brown people today.

Kisah mengapa sebagian orang berkulit hitam
dan sebagian lainnya berkulit putih dan cokelat

Ketika dunia masih muda, tidak ada seorang pun yang tinggal di bumi. Setiap hari, Magbabaya, Dewa kehidupan, memandang bumi dari rumahnya di langit.
“Oh, betapa indahnya bumi ini! Bumi ini begitu besar tetapi juga begitu kosong!”
Suatu hari, ia mendapat ide cemerlang.
“Aku harus membuat beberapa orang untuk tinggal di bumi.”
Ia melompat turun dari rumahnya di langit. Ia menggali tanah dan mencampurnya dengan air. Ia kemudian membuat beberapa manusia dari tanah itu. Ia membaringkan mereka di tanah untuk dijemur.
Tak lama kemudian ia kembali ke langit, ia berburu sepanjang hari di hutan langit, setelah itu, ia pulang dengan hewan-hewan yang telah ditangkapnya. Tiba-tiba, ia teringat orang-orang yang telah ia tinggalkan untuk dijemur. Ia kembali ke bumi secepat yang ia bisa. Tetapi mereka telah terbakar hitam seperti batu bara oleh terik matahari.
Ia menggelengkan kepalanya. “Aku harus mencoba lagi,” katanya. “Lain kali, aku akan berhati-hati untuk tidak membiarkannya terlalu lama di bawah sinar matahari.”
Sekali lagi, ia membuat beberapa manusia dari tanah liat. Ia menjemurnya dengan hati-hati di bawah sinar matahari. Namun, kali ini ia begitu khawatir karena tidak menjemurnya cukup lama. Manusia-manusia itu tidak dipanggang dengan benar. Ketika ia melihatnya, ia melihat bahwa warnanya terlalu pucat.
Katanya. “Besok saat matahari bersinar, aku akan membuat beberapa manusia lagi. Kali ini, aku akan memastikan mereka dipanggang lebih lama.”
Sekali lagi, ia mengambil tanah liat dan membuat beberapa manusia darinya. Ia menjemurnya dengan hati-hati di bawah sinar matahari. Ketika ia merasa matahari sudah terlalu panas, ia menutupinya dengan daun, dan menaruhnya di gudang.
Kemudian ia membiarkan angin sepoi-sepoi bertiup di atasnya. Sesekali, ia membalik masing-masing manusia itu sehingga warnanya menjadi cokelat muda yang sama di seluruh bagiannya.
Setelah selesai, ia melihat hasil karyanya dengan bangga. Manusia-manusia itu berwarna cokelat keemasan dan sangat indah dipandang. “Sempurna!” serunya gembira.
Kemudian, ia mengumpulkan semua manusia yang telah diciptakannya dan menempatkan mereka di berbagai belahan dunia.
Dan inilah mengapa kita memiliki orang-orang berkulit hitam, putih, dan cokelat saat ini.
