Anecdote Text – Bagi sobat yang duduk di bangku sekolah, saya yakin sobat akan merasa jenuh jika harus mempelajari jenis jenis teks yang jumlahnya tidak sedikit, seperti recount text, narrative text, descriptive text, dsb. Tp tenang aja sobat.. kali ini jenis teks yang akan kita pelajari sedikit berbeda dan sangat menyenangkan untuk dipelajari yakni anecdote text. Jenis teks ini mirip dengan spoof text tapi sebenarnya mereka berbeda.

Anecdote itu kalau menurut saya sama aja sih dengan yang namanya jokes. Tapi anecdote ini punya joke / lelucon yang lebih berbobot ketimbang joke / lelucon biasa. Sebab anecdote ini punya narasi cerita. Nah narasi cerita inilah yang menjadi pembeda antara joke dan anecdot sobat.

Oke saya akan jelaskan secara lebih detail sehingga sobat bisa lebih paham dan bisa membuat anecdote text sendiri. Yuk disimak !

Definition of Anecdote Text

Anecdote is a text which retells funny and unusual incidents in fact or imagination. (Text yang menceritakan kembali kejadian lucu atau kejadian yang tidak biasa baik fakta maupun imajinasi)

Generic Structur of Anecdote Text

# Abstract : Pada bagian Abstract, biasanya penulis mulai mengenalkan kejadian ganjil atau tidak biasa apa yang akan diceritakanya. Terdapat beberapa Abstract dari Anecdote Text diawali dengan penggunaan kalimat tanya, tetapi tidak semua Abstract dari Anecdote Text menggunakan kalimat tanya. (Pemberian tanda / sinyal akan adanya sesuatu yang tidak lazim; biasanya mengandung pertanyaan retorik). Misalnya : Have you ever talked to someone who in fact has died? Guess what happened when …. ; Can you imagine….?

# Orientation : Seperti halnya di Narrative Text, Orientation di Anecdote Text juga menceritakan siapa, kapan, dan di mana kejadian ganjil atau kejadian tidak biasa tersebut terjadi.

# Crisis : Pada bagian ini menceritakan kejadian ganjil atau kejadian tidak biasa tersebut terjadi. Penulis menceritakan kejadian tersebut dengan detail.

# Reaction / Incident : (Tindakan) ; Tentang bagaimana reaksi tokoh

Tujuan Komunikatif Anecdote Teks

Menceritakan kejadian/peristiwa lucu berdasarkan khayalan atau peristiwa yang nyata yang bertujuan menghibur,

Language Feature of Anecdote Text

– Menggunakan past tense (Waktu lampau), seperti: I found it last night.
– Menggunakan rhetoric question (pertanyaan retorika), seperti: Listen to this ! Do you know what? Can you imagine? It’s very shameful, isn’t it?
– Menggunakan conjuction of time (kata sambung waktu), seperti: then, afterward, etc.
– Menggunakan action verb (kata kerja aksi), seperti: went, wrote, jumped, etc.
– Menggunakan imperative sentece (kalimat perintah), seperti: listen to this.
– Menggunakan exclamation sentence (kalimat seru), seperti: it’s awful, it’s wonderful, etc

Misunderstanding

Taking the wrong assumption? This is very abashed. Actually I was so embarrassed about this incident. I think many people will laugh when they know it.

One day my brother and I were watching television at home. suddenly there were many people brought many chairs from my neighbor’s house and I saw it. At that moment I was afraid and I said to my father about this incident. My father run and said, “Thief…thief…thief…. catch them!” but suddenly he stopped. In fact the people were not thieves because one of them is my uncle. My father said to me, “Oh … no Hen, He is your uncle. it is terrible”.

After that my father chatted with my uncle. I was so embarrassed to them. I was not brave to go out. Then my father talked to me. I just laughed and was afraid. My mother laughed after listening this story and she told me, “That is funny, Henny”.

When I meet my uncle, I feel shy to him because I always remember this incident. I hope my uncle forget it and I will not be shy anymore.

This experience was so funny in my life. I take the wrong assumption about someone whom I called as a thief. May be because of night, I could not see clearly. I always remember it and I do not forget it. I think this experience can be a lesson for me.
